The above link will redirect you to GIPHY for Gmail’s extension page. Next, you need to click on the Add to Chrome button.
Once done, click on the Add extension button.
After installing GIPHY for the Gmail Chrome extension, open Gmail and click the Compose button.
Now, compose the email you want to send to others. At the bottom toolbar, click on the GIPHY icon.
Now, you will see many animated GIFs. You can even use the search bar to search for GIFs. To insert the GIF into the email, click on it.

Now open Gmail on your web browser and compose a new email or open the email message where you want to send a GIF.
At the bottom, click on the ‘Insert Photo‘ icon.
On the Insert Photo prompt, switch to the ‘Web Address (URL)‘ and paste the URL of the GIF you’ve copied.
Now wait until Gmail fetches the GIF from the web address. Once fetched, click on the ‘Insert‘ button.
